I can’t recommend Maurice Molyneaux more highly. He helped me to understand why my scripts weren’t working.  In order to accomplish this, he broke things down clearly and taught me various, straightforward approaches to writing that helped me to hone my craft. This allowed me to bring to life the stories I had in my head. While I often had strong core concepts, I was missing key aspects of character development and structure. Maurice pointed me in the right direction and I’ve never looked back.

The Blue Mauritius is a classic heist film with one foot in 21st century capers like Oceans 11 and the other in timeless classics like Topkapi, and Bob Le Flambeur, with a dash of Mission: Impossible.

The film was scheduled to go before cameras in spring 2020, but got derailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At various points the attached cast included Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Brave New World), John Rhys–Davies (Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones), Issac Hempstead Wright (Game of Thrones), Mathieu Kassovitz (Amélie), Sofia Boutella (Star Trek Beyond), and Sönke Möhring (Inglourius Basterds).

Sadly, lost in Development Hell.

The series only I can write, The 1-UP is an early 80s dramedy that explores the “Atari Age”, the birth of video gaming culture and how that planted the seeds for the world we inhabit today.

The pilot and series format draw upon my years in the trenches of video and computer game development and mines the events from the area where independent video game producers were a brand new thing. It’s cusp-of-the-80s era fun & games where truth really is stranger than fiction.
